X-Particles Triggered Advection - Project File Download
X-Particles and Cycles 4D make perfect companions. In this Cinema 4D project, we’ll advect particles from an Explosia source. But the explosion is only triggered under certain conditions.
It’s a convenient and easy way to control actions and events inside X-Particles. We can utilize Cinema 4D’s powerful “Fields” system in the falloff for many modifiers. That enables us to build complex setups with precise control.
Cycles 4D is the render engine in this project. But you could easily change it to Redshift, or Octane, or any other render engine.
I used Greyscalegorilla’s HDRI link plugin. If you don’t have that plugin, use any other HDR image that you have.
The look of the tube is mostly dependent on the HDR you use, as it’s a highly reflective object.
Playing with Explosia and advection is always fun. Hopefully, you can find some uses for the scene file. It’s a versatile technique. You can adapt this to many other types of projects.
